Unity Foundation, Pathways To Peace, PeacePortal.mobi and Getzooks welcomes you to the PEACE DAY 24-Hour World Peace Celebration and Global Broadcast commemorating the 27th Annual United Nations’ International Day of Peace on September 21, 2009.

This broadcast highlights the vitally important work of the United Nations and its humanitarian agencies, as well as organizations and individuals around the world dedicated to creating a more peaceful, just and sustainable world. The broadcast includes Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s message for the International Day of Peace; as well as interviews with present and former high level UN officials and other world leaders. Here you will find a list of organizations that actively promote Peace Day and present their own lists of events online. Click on the link after each organization to visit their websites!

Need logos and other material for your Peace Day event? Now you can download the Peace Day logo, a Peace Day poster (PDF) and an updated brochure (PDF) on the site. Click on “Participate” and “Download Materials”. You can also get sample proclamations to send to your elected officials, asking them to declare September 21 as the International Day of Peace.
