The Ministry for Peace-Australia will host a 24-hour vigil that will include the 60-plus delegates from the 4th Global Summit for Ministries and Departments of Peace, which is being held in Australia from 17-26 September 2008. Subject to final approval by the Mayor and Councilors of the City of Sydney, they will be "turning the sod" on the first Garden of Peace in metropolitan Sydney. The Premier of NSW was invited to officially open the vigil at 11 am on Sunday 21st (although the spiritual opening is scheduled for 00.01 am on the 21st Sept.), and it will close when the World Peace Flame is extinguished at 00.01am on 22nd Sept.
