At 9:30 all are welcome to bring crystals or flowers to the centre of the market to co-create a Crystal Peace Mandala. At 10, Kids of All Ages are invited to come in the orange colors and furs of orangutans (in solidarity with threatened species everywhere), ready to be painted up for the parade, at the park next to the amenities block. Habbo, the largest virtual world for teenagers will provide a platform for teens to show their support for International Peace Day, by hosting a virtual Global Peace Gathering on September the 19th. Working with War Child International the Habbo Global Peace Gathering will give teens a voice on an issue that they feel passionate about. By taking part in a peaceful online protest a unique visual representation of the strength of the teen voice will be created. The Ministry for Peace-Australia will host a 24-hour vigil that will include the 60-plus delegates from the 4th Global Summit for Ministries and Departments of Peace, which is being held in Australia from 17-26 September 2008. Subject to final approval by the Mayor and Councilors of the City of Sydney, they will be "turning the sod" on the first Garden of Peace in metropolitan Sydney. The Premier of NSW was invited to officially open the vigil at 11 am on Sunday 21st (although the spiritual opening is scheduled for 00.01 am on the 21st Sept.), and it will close when the World Peace Flame is extinguished at 00.01am on 22nd Sept.
